How do I check if a phone is PTA approved?
Find the phone's 15-digit IMEI by dialing *#06#, then SMS it to 8484 or check the PTA DVS portal at dirbs.pta.gov.pk. Use the tool above first to confirm the IMEI is a valid format before you send it.
What does PTA approved mean in Pakistan?
A PTA-approved (compliant) phone is registered with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority and works on local networks without being blocked. Non-compliant phones can be blocked after a grace period, so always verify PTA status before buying a used phone.
